Mercedes Benz made just 821 of these 2.8 6-cylinder 280 SE Low Grille Convertibles. This car had one owner from 1973 to 2008 and is a good running, clean car. Equipped with Behr Air, power windows, and automatic transmission, it proves to be a very nice driver.
The current mileage showing is 55,734 miles. A major service was completed recently which included new sub-frame mounts, shocks, tires, major tune up with hoses and belts, new heater control cables, some wood refinished.
The car was painted in its original color (paint code DB180) in the not too distant past. The interior is primarily original and as such is quite presentable. The Behr AC and Becker Europa radio are both still installed. The original front seats were tired, so the owner found a nice set of red seats, which were then dyed black to match the rest of the interior.
There are a few items which need some attention. The tachometer is not in working order and the AC does need to be charged. The original radio volume is very low, so perhaps an amplifier would solve this issue.
