 This is the famous 1933 Ford 3 window coupe know as Posies Flathead Flyer. It was built in 1995 by legendary hot rod builder Ken "Posies" Fenical of Posies Rod and Customs. Mr. Fenical is one of the truly great builders of innovative hot rods in the industry. His cars are considered works of art yet he insists that they be driven and that they handle as good as they look. The Flathead Flyer is no exception! It has been in many major hot rod magazines over the last 15 years or so including several issues of "Rod and Custom" and "Car and  Driver". It was the 2006 poster car for The Good Guys Nationals. It was on all of the T-Shirts at the event and there were posters of the car and even the event tickets featured the car. It was even used as the subject of a limited edition 1/64th scale model car by Johnny Lightning! The car was built using a Gibbon fiberglass body which was chopped and channeled. It has a well engineered Pete & Jakes suspension and Halibrand quick change rear end. It features disc brakes on the front and special drum brakes on the rear. This gorgeous little coupe is powered by a highly nostalgic Mercury 298 cubic inch flathead mill featuring Offy heads and tpi fuel injection backed by a Ford C4 automatic transmission with tall Lokar shift lever which really looks the part. The closer you look at this rod the more impressed you will become with it. The lists of top quality products used in the build reads like a who's who in the American hot rod industry. It has Vintage Air , Walker radiator, VDO instruments, Specialty power windows and power operated trunk, Centech wiring harness, Halibrand Engineering sweet swirll wheels with B.F. Goodrich wide whitewall tires and much more. This is one really sweet ride with just the "right" look and it drives and handles great too. It has been a trophy winner at several major east coast hotrod events and remains in show winning condition today!!! Truly a world class hot rod!
